4. CENTRAL ARKANSAS WRITERS AWARD – Creative nonfiction story based on a childhood memory, 1500 word max. Sponsored by Central Arkansas Writers.

5.  WESTWARD HO! Award – Western , First Chapter or Short Story. Sponsored by Dusty Richards.

6. DID YOU LISTEN?  1 page poem or 500 word prose piece using 5 poetic devices/techniques. $5 HM awards.  Sponsored by Pat Laster.
